In order to express the
concern and support of the parish for the families who
experience the death of a loved one, a meal is provided in
the McGurk Room at the Parish Center or in the family's home
before or after the funeral.
Ladies volunteer on SIX TEAMS
with a Chairperson and a Co-Chair. Seven to ten women serve
on these teams. They provide a dinner for the bereaved
families after the funeral Mass in the Parish Center or in
the family home. Members of the parish are called (from the
stewardship list) to help provide a dish for these dinners.
